Game type, win condition, camera, physics and capabilities.

Rules

Game type is Solo, Co-op or Versus. Co-op and Versus open a player pool and turn on multiplayer for the published game.

Choosing Score target or Survival time writes a starter Logic rule for you, which you can then edit.

Camera

Pick one of four: 3D first person, 3D third person, 2D top down or 2D side view. This is the camera players get. Crossing between 2D and 3D switches the whole project's projection and asks first; nothing is deleted.

World

  • Input map: Move (WASD or stick), Interact (E), Primary action (Mouse 1 or R2), Menu (Esc). Rebinding is not yet available. In 2D, only Move applies.
  • Gravity: the value the runtime uses, default 9.8.
  • Collision layers: World, Players, Props and Triggers.

Meta

  • Scripting capabilities: which of Entities, Variables, Audio and Logic effects scripts may use. All four are granted until you change them. See Code and scripting.
  • Localisation: English (UK) is the source language. More languages are not yet available.
  • Player pool: a shortcut to hosting for multiplayer projects.
